Tengu Martial Arts Dragon Program
The Dragon Program is specially designed for young students ages 5–10, providing a structured and supportive introduction to martial arts. In this program, the requirements for each belt level are carefully divided into smaller, more manageable steps. This approach allows children to spend more time practicing and truly understanding each technique, helping them build confidence, skill, and a strong foundation in martial arts.
Beyond physical training, the Dragon Program emphasizes the development of important character values such as respect, honor, compassion, courage, loyalty, motivation, and inspiration. These principles help students grow not only as martial artists, but also as responsible and confident young individuals.
Unlike the standard program, the Dragon Program includes additional belt levels that organize and support the gradual learning of techniques. This step-by-step progression allows younger students to advance at a pace that matches their developmental needs while celebrating their progress along the way.
At Tengu Martial Arts School, instruction is delivered primarily in English to ensure clarity and understanding for all students. Students are also introduced to select Korean and Japanese martial arts terminology, helping them appreciate the cultural traditions and history behind the art they are learning.
